Inspired by classic artists like The Who, Frank Zappa, Steve Vai, Eddie Van Halen, Rush, and Jeff Beck, Max is melding those influences with the contemporary sounds of Alter Bridge, Periphery, The Contortionist, and many others to create a new sound for the next generation.
Max grew up in New Jersey and has been playing guitar since the age of 6 in forums ranging from a master class with Pepe Romero to opening for Steve Vai, to playing with Dweezil Zappa, and gigging constantly at venues like the legendary Stone Pony, the Bergen Pac, and hard rock staple Ding Batz in North Jersey. After studying for two years at the Manhattan School of Music Max went to the Berklee College of Music to pursue his love of rock, fusion, and metal performance and recording and writing. Max graduated from the Berklee College of Music with a degree in Professional Music with concentrates in Music Production/Engineering, Performance, and Contemporary Writing.
Max currently works in numerous settings. Along with his solo work Max is also the guitarist and bandleader for Boston based cover band Boras Brothers and Company, and guitarist/DJ in award winning wedding band Clockwork Boston. He is a member of the Boston Musicians Union Locan 9-535 and does freelance pit orchestra work, GB work, session work, touring sideman work, and audio visual. He’s very grateful for all the opportunities he’s received and his passion for music is what drives him to be the best musician he can possibly be.
